Gutter repairs & realignment

Half the gutters we get called to aren't blocked at all. They're broken — and no amount of clearing fixes a joint that's split.

Wet leaf mulch is heavy. Loaded gutters sag between brackets, joints pull apart at the unions, and the whole run slowly drops out of fall until the water sits in it instead of running to the downpipe.

We repair what can be repaired and replace what can't, matching your existing profile so the finished run doesn't look patched. Everything is priced before we touch it.

What's included

  • Leaking unions resealed or replaced
  • New brackets where the old ones have pulled out of the fascia
  • Split or cracked lengths replaced like for like
  • Runs re-set to the correct fall so they actually drain
  • Loose or detached downpipes re-fixed to the wall
  • Outlets, stop ends and corners replaced as needed

How we do it

  1. 01

    Find the actual fault

A stain down the wall tells you where water is escaping, not why. We find the cause — a failed union, a dropped bracket, a hairline split — before quoting anything.

  2. 02

    Price it in writing

You get told what's wrong, what it takes to fix, and what it costs. If it's cheaper to replace a length than repair it, we'll say so.

  3. 03

    Do the work

Parts matched to your existing profile and colour wherever they're still available. Nothing bodged with sealant that fails again next winter.

  4. 04

    Test it

Water down the run to confirm it drains properly before we pack up.

Questions

Gutter repairs & realignment — common questions

Can you match my existing guttering?
In most cases yes — half-round, square and ogee profiles in the common sizes are all still available. If yours is an older or discontinued profile we'll tell you before quoting, because it may mean replacing a longer section to get a clean match.
Do I need the whole lot replacing?
Usually not. Most of what we see is one failed joint or two pulled brackets on an otherwise sound run. We'll always quote the repair first and only recommend replacement where the plastic has genuinely gone brittle.
Do you do repairs without a clean?
Yes, though on a blocked run we'd normally clear it first — it's hard to judge a joint properly with two inches of mulch sitting on it, and the weight can be what pulled it apart in the first place.
